When I try to recollect the beginnings of my photographic "career", I think of an old enlarger that had somehow always been part of our household equipment during my childhood. My curiosity about photography gradually grew into a great interest, and later turned into my big passion. Though during the past years I learned much about the photographic process and gathered some experience in this field, I nevertheless always feel like taking part in a mystery or facing a wonder while working in the darkness of my lab. And that makes me happy. I also find some happiness in seeing my models enjoy the results of our cooperation, the effect of which is a person's inspiration to undertake a discovery journey into her/himself.

I use hand-held Nikon cameras with a number of different lenses. I mostly work with available light though do not neglect other light sources, be it a candle, a torch or a flash gun. Most of all I like working with middle- and high speed films, especially in the circumstances of dramatic light. Such films favour the smooth contrast effects. I enlarge the negatives on the fine art baryt paper, in the warm tone, in the size up to 30x40 cm.
